Band members

Since their formation in 2008, jinjer has been performing on stages all across Europe, the States and Asia. Even while touring constantly, the band never loses their creative edge with each new release; pushing themselves creatively with every song written for release. Renowned for their wide spectrum of musical influences which come through their songs including reggae, funk jazz soul and heavy metal influences among many more genres, their songs showcase an extensive repertoire.

JINJER embarked on an expansive European tour during 2016, performing at various festivals such as Q-Stock in Finland, Metal on the Hill in Austria, and Summer Dying Loud in Poland. These opportunities gave JINJER an excellent platform to demonstrate its renowned live performances.

With the arrival of a new year, JINJER began work on their next studio album. Over winter they returned to Lviv rehearsal rooms to compose and record new tracks for what would later become “KING OF EVERYTHING”. This proved one of JINJER’s hardest and most intense recording periods ever, leading to tension among members as well as stress and arguments between bandmates; yet still managed to produce something truly exceptional and rare.

Napalm Records released their most ambitious metal release yet on August 20, 2021 – “KING OF EVERYTHING”, by JINJER. A stunning blend of technical musicianship and emotional fury; from blast beat-laden banger COLOSSUS to the 90s grunge vibes of DISCLOSURE; this album showcases that JINJER is no ordinary metal band but instead stands as an international force on the international scene.

In 2022, JINJER continued their relentless tour across America and Europe while still finding time to write their next album and release a five track EP called MICRO between non-stop touring. Once again setting a high bar with their third full length album MACRO which brought with it unprecedented technical excellence to modern heavy metal genre. When combined with accompanying videos it made for one of the most impressive releases to come from modern heavy metal genre.

Albums

Since their formation, jinjer have released four full-length albums and several EPs. Their music combines progressive metalcore and groove metal, with influences from other genres like reggae and jazz, creating their unique style which has gained them an extensive fan base and critical praise alike. Vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk is well known for her dynamic stage presence and ability to switch between growling vocals and clean singing, garnering them both popular support as well as critical recognition.

After their 2016 album release of King of Everything, Jinjer began gaining widespread recognition. Their song “Pisces” quickly went viral on YouTube and helped propel them to a whole new level of fame and recognition. Even as drummers came and went within the group and one founding member (Dmytro Oksen) passed on unexpectedly, their commitment and passion remained undiminished despite all these obstacles.

Jinjer’s latest album, Macro, shows no signs of slowing down. Featuring tracks that demonstrate their mastery of progression and improvisation as well as melodic elements and shredding solos from Roman Ibramkhalilov on guitar, bassist Eugene Abdukhanov adds depth and power, and vocalist Shmayluk expresses all manner of emotions through her powerful yet soul-shattering voice.

Over the years, this band has performed relentlessly around the globe alongside iconic acts like Cradle of Filth and Arch Enemy. Additionally, they’ve been nominated for several awards and even earned two – such as Best Ukrainian Metal Act.

With each release, jinjer has broadened their horizons further, exploring various genres and sounds. Their third full-length album Macro shows heavy influences from reggae and jazz while still maintaining their signature sound; death metal was even introduced on “Pausing Death”. Overall, Macro is testament to jinjer being one of the world’s most innovative metal bands who never fear taking risks and pushing boundaries – something many other bands can only dream about!
