10. Merle Haggard

Merle Haggard was a country music legend known for songs like “Okie from Muskogee” and “Mama Tried.” Born during the Great Depression in a remodeled boxcar in Oildale, California – Haggard often had trouble in school as a youth and often found himself unemployed.
