Gimme Metal was founded in 2009 as an underground metal artist platform to stream radio-style programming, with a mission of spreading its sound. Its music is intense and dark with lots of distorted guitars and drum beats; often featuring harsh and critical lyrics; however, some songs offer lighter moments.

Heavy metal is a genre of rock music popular during the 1980s. After experiencing an initial decline, heavy metal became an international sensation by the end of this decade, thanks to bands like Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, Saxon and Guns N’ Roses (and later Nirvana). Unfortunately, by 2000 its cohesion had begun to break down.

Heavy metal music can be described as rock that features distorted power chords, aggressive tones and sometimes critical lyrics. This genre first originated in Britain during the mid 1960s when groups such as Cream, the Jeff Beck Group and Jimi Hendrix integrated heavy elements into their songs.

Metal music festivals

Metal music emerged during the 1960s and has since evolved into multiple subgenres. Its roots lie in blues-rock and psychedelic rock bands that created it, developing a thick guitar-and-drums sound with high-intensified distortion. Metal fans are known as headbangers; there are even festivals dedicated to this genre worldwide. Contrary to stereotypes, recent studies show no correlation between violent behavior or aggression and metal. Instead, its chaotic nature may help reduce stress levels while relieving negative emotions such as anger or depression by relaxing body nerves – something no other music genre can do!

Metal music can also serve as an outlet for self-expression. Studies have demonstrated its therapeutic value; helping people express their emotions creatively while relieving tension. Furthermore, its fans form a sense of community that can lower risks of isolation and depression.

Research has also demonstrated that listening to heavy metal music can decrease cortisol, or stress hormone, levels. Furthermore, metal music may also help increase activity in areas of the brain associated with mood regulation, reduce memory decline due to age related effects, and even help combat effects of aging through increased blood flow to certain regions of the brain. These benefits may be partially attributed to listening to metal.

Research suggests that listening to heavy metal music may contribute to externalizing behaviors and delinquency, particularly among male fans who engage in reckless actions like speeding, drinking driving and casual sexual encounters more frequently than non-fans (Arnett 1991b). Gender has also been found to moderate relationships between liking for metal music and personality traits like sensation seeking, attitudes toward authority and the need for uniqueness – traits often associated with deviance in its fans (Arnett 1991a,b).

Heavy metal music provides many health and wellbeing advantages, but beyond these tangible gains it also promotes a sense of community and belonging, something crucial for mental wellbeing if loneliness has serious repercussions for one’s life. Furthermore, heavy metal concerts provide an ideal venue for meeting like-minded individuals and making new connections.

Metal music can be difficult to secure airplay on radio stations. Most stations want to offer songs that appeal to as many advertisers as possible, which usually means Adult Contemporary and Country formats along with News/Talk formats. Metal, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal do not advertise as effectively in terms of ratings compared with these other genres, thus leading many station owners to overlook them altogether.

Lullaby streaming

John R. Leonetti’s (Annabelle, Wish Upon) horror flick centers around a lullaby that unleashes an ancient demon named Lilith into their baby’s room. Starring Kira Guloien and Oona Chaplin as two new parents who discover Lilith lurking therein; though far from perfect it does provide some good scares and impressive cinematography while showing his talent as director; Leonetti should continue working behind the camera in future films.
