Near Death Experience Music

Near death experience music is a genre of music created to describe experiences people claim they’ve had during near death episodes. Although powerful, near death experience music may also come with some undesirable consequences.

Some of the more frequently experienced NDE elements include a tunnel of light, reunion with deceased loved ones and meeting a deity.

NDX – Living

Numerous individuals who have had near death experiences (NDEs) claim to have heard beautiful, transcendent music during their NDE. Many experiencers claim the music soothes and comforts them while at the same time providing messages from loved ones or God; one NDE-experiencer, Gilles Bedard was so moved by what he heard that he decided to devote his life recreating it! Other experiencers have used music therapy as a form of emotional support after experiencing loss or terminal disease diagnosis.

In 1978, Plymouth State University’s Developmental Psychology department conducted an experiment wherein they played various sounds to those who had experienced near-death experiences and examined which music brought back vivid memories of their experience. The results were remarkable – with the most frequently chosen piece being Angels of Comfort by Iasos (a pioneer of new age music). According to researchers this music might help people transition more smoothly into afterlife.

Research also demonstrated that NDE-experiencers tended to choose similar kinds of music regardless of religious or other considerations, or other emotional states they experienced; additionally, music changed with emotional states – for instance during times of fear or despair it could become more upbeat and energetic, while during moments of love or joy the music could become slower and calming.

An NDE’s most distinguishing trait is its tendency for time to seem to slow or even stop passing by, due to a change in brain state known as time tunneling; sometimes accompanying this is out-of-body experiences or meeting other beings.

NDEs have long captivated both scientists and spiritualists. While some may argue that NDEs are mere hallucinations produced by dying brains, others see these experiences as evidence of an afterlife; some people even claim seeing hell before returning back home while others describe heaven as being full of happiness and peace.

NDX – Found

Researchers may have discovered what may be the oldest professional/medical case report on near death experiences ever written, written by French military physician Pierre-Jean du Monchaux (1733-66) in 1740 and detailing an NDE. Recently rediscovered by NDE researcher Phillippe Charlier as considered by many specialists the most significant and authentic account ever written about an NDE; its details cannot be found elsewhere.

Music and sound play an essential role in near death experiencers’ accounts of life after death. NDEers frequently hear sounds and music that cannot be described, often described as being on an invisible universal wave length and completely surrounding them – they also claim it has healing and soothing properties for soul. Many near death experiencers (NDERs) become musical artists after experiencing an NDE; one such NDEr, named Gilles Bedard was so affected by what he heard that he dedicated his life to recreating and researching it!

The NDE music revelations demonstrate how essential music is for our universe, spirit realms and souls. Music serves to unify both physical and spiritual bodies by keeping both functioning properly, while it forms an essential part of consciousness and can even serve as a language to reach God directly.

NDE stories may vary widely, yet all have some shared characteristics: becoming aware that one has died and knowing they will return, positive emotions such as speeding through a tunnel at an incredible rate, communicating with light beings, witnessing celestial landscape colors changing at once and meeting deceased friends and family for joyful reunions before having an instantaneous life review.

NDEs have been studied and documented by doctors, nurses, psychologists, oncologists, anthropologists, sociologists and other scientists; however, many occur unreported or misunderstood; most reported encounters occur among people suffering illness or injury.

Naim has done an extraordinary job of conveying information in an organic and convincing manner with their NDX speaker system. Never once did the Naim NDX tend to sound artificial or overdone regardless of dynamic range of track being played back – something especially evident on tracks by David Sylvian such as Money for All and Rhythm of Love where bass lines were deep and richly detailed, or Terence Trent D’Arby’s album Vibrator where microdynamics played an integral role.
